FAQs

Answers to Your Key Questions About Pelvic Health and Therapy

What makes you different from all the other pelvic therapy clinics?

At The HOPE Doctors, the first pelvic floor physical therapy specialty practice in Tampa Bay, we are dedicated to a head to toe approach, finding the ROOT CAUSE, including you on your healing journey, all while offering compassion and truly caring. We communicate with your other providers and YOUR care is what matters to us. You aren't a number. You are a real person who deserves the best care.

What if I don't have much time to do exercise postpartum?

That's okay, don't fret. Our biggest goal is to NOT increase guilt or add stress to you as you're adjusting to motherhood. We will work WITH you to decide what makes sense and what doesn't and you have access to us between sessions to make sure it is right for you.

How long does it typically take to see improvements

Improvement timelines can vary widely depending on the individual case and its severity. Many patients begin to notice positive changes within the first few weeks, but a full therapy program might last several months.

When do I need to start care after baby?

As soon as you're comfortable seeing us. We do NOT have to do an internal/vaginal examination to get you started with movement, baby wearing tips and more. We are here for you as soon as you're ready.

Do you also help with cesarean births?

Yes, absolutely. We offer support for all phases of birth and postpartum recovery as well as however your birth went. Whether it went in a direction that was unexpected, or went exactly as planned, we have the skills to help you.

Do you take insurance?

Because The HOPE Doctors offer expert level care, and is generally not covered by insurance with the full value of what we offer, we are fee for service providers. We offer discounted packages if you want to pay up front, some payment plan options and are willing to provide you with a SuperBill.
